parts.windingshafts.com - other parts
In this section you can find a small selection of parts that are not definable in the other groups. Please note that these part are only some examples of our huge collection. To repair an expanding element we can deliver various parts such as journals, cylinders, clamps, specific bolts, etcetera. If you own winding shafts of a respected brand, you will find those parts in a dimensional drawing and/or partlist. If the required information is not available, it is possible that we can find the information in our database. If not, you will have to take some measurements so we can get you the desired parts.

PRODUCT REFERENCE : JOURNAL-001
Journals are located at the end of each winding shaft, usually with outer journal for positioning on brake, clutch, chuck or with end-cap (cantilevered type winding shaft). A flange connection is also possible.
Most often the outer journal section wears-out due to the loading process. The inner part is most commonly mounted in the winding shaft body with heated-pressure and is fixated by bolts.

PRODUCT REFERENCE : CLAMP-001
Clamping element fixation is done by inserting clamps at the end of each element. This will ensure that clamping elements remain positioned. There are numerous types of clamps, depending on type and make of the multibladder shaft.
This info is to give you a visual idea of some of the clamps available.

PRODUCT REFERENCE : BOLTS-001
Demounting expanding shafts usually means removal of the heat-shrunken journals, also fixated with (lock-tite glued) bolts. After repair, you will have to replace these bolts since the tampering effect of the removal procedure may break the bolt when re-used.
Although various bolts are commonly purchasable in many hardware stores, please note that the material has been securely selected by the winding shaft manufacturer to ensure safe and proper use of the shaft in delicate winding processes. Please pay attention to the material hardness and do not use standard graded bolts if you are not sure on the specifications.
